Normani Just Wiped Her Entire Instagram Clean – Save For One Post

Normani is up to something. As of July 12, the Atlanta native has wiped clean her Instagram page save one video. The video in question is from February and features the singer vibing to a snippet of one of her unreleased tracks. According to popular Twitter account PopCrave, the song is a “teaser of her upcoming single, ‘Wild Side.’” (Normani herself is yet to confirm this.)

A complete Instagram wipe-out can only mean one thing though: a new era is upon us. Ever since she released her solo debut “Motivation” in the summer of 2019, Normani fans have been patiently awaiting new music from the star and some believe the time has finally come. “B**CH WAITTTTTT NORMANI REALLY IS COMING AFTER 3 YEARS,” someone commented on Twitter. “I’m not getting my hopes up,” another added.

If you’ve been following Normani’s solo career, you’d know the singer has teased her debut solo album multiple times in the last few years. But, since it’s a labor of love, she’s also stressed how important it is for her to get it right. “There’s so much expectation that I have for myself, so adding [fans’ expectations] onto that can be a lot,” Normani told Teen Vogue in October 2020. “I really want to create a body of work that’s going to count, you know? I’m never going to get my first album back.” In March of this year, the singer took to Twitter to hint yet again that new music was coming. “Wow… the record I’m making right now,” she teased on her account. At the time, she also suggested she had been working on a new music video, too.

A few months later, in an interview with W Magazine from May, it was implied that the project would be releasing this summer. “2020 was a tough year for me, because my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I couldn’t travel home to Houston because of Covid. But then I kind of had to shift my perspective and just know that finishing my album really helped her get through it, and helped me get through it,” Normani shared with the magazine. “I’m not always as bubblegum as ‘Motivation’ was, or as bubblegum as how people have perceived me to be from looking at that music video. So just imagine the flip side of that. It’s still going to be palatable for a wide audience. Nobody is going to feel left out.”

Could the album be the reason behind her latest Instagram move? We sure hope so! Check out Normani’s now only Instagram post below:
