Halle Bailey has a message for anyone trying to tear down sister Chloe Bailey: don’t.
On Tuesday, July 27, Halle went viral on Twitter when she took to the app to defend her big sister after someone called her “overhyped.” “I feel like Chloe Bailey is cute but y’all be overhyping shawty,” the tweet that started it all reads.
After seeing it, Halle decided to respond to the comment herself with grace and a fair share of emojis. “Girl let’s not start. Be blessed!! God loves you too!!!” the singer and actor quote retweeted, adding fifteen emojis – eight smiling faces with halo and seven shushing faces, to be exact.
Of course, if you’ve been following the sister duo for a while, you’d know this isn’t the first time Halle has taken to social media to shower Chloe with deserved praise and love. Back in March, after Mathew Knowles (aka Beyoncé’s father) said comparing his daughter to Chloe was “insulting,” Chloe seemingly addresses the uncalled-for hate on Twitter. “How amazing is it that @ChloeBailey is already an icon,” she tweeted along with some heart emojis. “I ride for my sister till the enddd okayyyy,” she added shortly after, just in case there were any doubts. (Also, it’s worth noting that Beyoncé is one of the sisters’ biggest idols and mentors.)
Aside from addressing naysayers with poise, Halle has also used Twitter to praise her sister unconditionally. Most recently, she posted a birthday tribute to Chloe, complete with the most adorable throwback pictures, in which she said she felt “so blessed to have your guidance through this life.”
