North West is roasting her mom Kim Kardashian once again for the whole internet to see.
Earlier this week, Kim took to Instagram to do a paid promotion for BoxyCharm, a monthly beauty subscription box service, to her followers. But in the background, North and her beloved cousin Penelope Disick were hanging out. “My daughter is here trying to hate on my BoxyCharm,” Kim half-murmurs at the beginning of her stories.
While Kim is getting started to show off the products she got in this month’s box, North’s punchy comment of the day arrives. “Why do you talk different for your videos?” the 8-year-old inquires. “Why do I talk different for what? For my videos? I am the same human being, I don’t talk different. How do I talk different? Guys, do you think I talk different when I’m talking about contour?” Kim then adds.
Now, her question might have been rhetorical but Penelope answered it anyways with a resounding “yeah.” Before Kim can even begin to question anything else, North starts to imitate her mother’s “promo” voice courtesy of a high-pitched, nasal inflection. “Guysss, so today I got these new masks and these new bronzers. I got this,” North narrates, which immediately get Penelope’s agreement. (That part of the video has since traveled cross-platform, mainly thanks to popular gossip account The Shade Room, which shared it on Twitter.)
North’s astute observations didn’t end there. While North and Penelope used Kim’s beauty products on various fruits, painting human faces on them, Kim said she was “glad” her cosmetics were being put to good use. “You sure you’re glad? Because you always say you’re glad when you’re mad,” North pointed out. Kim was quick to reply: “Well, I’m mad that you guys leave a mess like this.”
This isn’t the first time North has publicly called out her mom while she’s filming #content. It’s not even the second. Back in May, the mother-daughter duo also made headlines when Kim decided to do an unboxing of her Olivia Rodrigo Sour press package on IG stories and North basically called her a fake fan. (Saint came to Kim’s rescue then but, to Kim’s dismay, he wasn’t present during the BoxyCharm debacle.)
It looks like North’s pointed barbs are growing a fandom of their own. And clearly, Kim finds her daughter’s one-liners funny (and maybe even endearing, too) since, instead of deleting them, she keeps sharing them with all of us. (Thank you, Kim.)
